In the old days, we could use the building wind mit inspection. These are no longer accepted and were not used to give the shutter credit, just the roof credit.
By simply ordering the wind mit, your client should save the $100 or so for the inspection, each and every year of the policy premium going forward, especially when you are less than five miles to tidal water. Our most recent case involved an older property and the savings were $360 per year just by providing us with a wind mitigation for the roof and shutter credits. Plus the savings can be used for their ratios when financing.
